Toy Story 3/Eclipse/Alpine

So it has been awhile since I have updated this, but I did warn you that I might not be updating too much! Life has been pretty crazy as of lately, probably because school is coming to an end in 2 weeks! (I seriously cannot wait!!!I don't think John can either ;) )

A couple of weeks ago John and I, and Rhi and Kevin went and saw Toy Story 3...great movie! It's just as good as the first two! However, as I was sitting there I leaned overto John and (since the theater was full of little children) said that I felt like I should have a kid with me or something. He just laughed

and then I told Rhi and she agreed but laughed too.I thought it was pretty funny. :P Then Rhi and I went to the midnight showing of Eclipse...which was...AWESOME! We had a blast, even though there was a whole row of teenage girls making annoying comments and freaking out whenever Jacob Black showed up on screen without a shirt on. So the lady next to Rhi turned around twice and said "shhhh!" then "Shut up!" it was pretty hilarious. :D If you haven't seen it, go see it! Well go see both of these movies actually :)

For the 4th of July, me and John went to Idaho Falls to watch the firework show there, it was so much fun! However, when we first got there we found a spot and it was next to a guy that looked like he knew what he was talking about. He said that the fireworks go off right in front of us. But...when they started going off, they we're going off BEHIND us! So we rushed off got in the car and drove around to find a spot, we ended up pulling over on the highway and watched them from there. It was really awesome, then for the weekend we went to Alpine. Which is always a lot of fun and we both look forward to it. :)

Founding Fathers and Education

So today in my History and Philosophy class, we talked about Ben Franklin and Thomas Jefferson and all that they did to contribute to the founding of this country. It was great learning about them and the great men that they are, but it really made me mad/sad that so many people in the class didn't appreciate them as much as I thought that they would. Which shows how far away people have gone from the Constitution and they continue to follow away.

The real problem is the home. Parent's aren't teaching their kids what our country was founded on and the respect that we need to give to our country! It's really sad that kids are being neglected of this knowledge. It was also brought up in class that students don't even have to stand up and say the pledge of allegience anymore at school! To me, that is a sign of extreme disrepect. If you can't stand up for your country and pledge to this country that we live in you don't deserve to be here. But that is just my feeling about it.

"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

Testing out the waters of a blog...

Here is our very first post on this blog! There isn't anything super exciting going on as of today. John's at work and I'm at home doing homework (which is almost done!) I'm thinking that I'm going to be putting up wedding pictures...but there are sooo many! So we'll see what happens ;)

I'll try to update this as often as I can or when there's something super exciting going on. :)
