Braydens Crib and Baby Blanket!

We got this the other day. Johns mom bought it and sent it our way! As soon as FedEx dropped it off, John started putting it together! He was so excited. After putting it together, then taking it apart several times, because he missed a part, this is what we have :). Beautiful!

This is a quilt that my mom made for Brayden(before we knew it would be Brayden). Isn't it perfect? We just love it! Thank you mom!

20 Weeks

I hit 20 weeks on Friday! So I'm half way through! I'm feeling pretty good, I still have my good and bad mornings but I think it's getting to the point where those bad days are going to be fewer and fewer. ;)

Some exciting things have happened within just the last two days...before I "think" I have felt the baby, I wasn't sure. But Friday morning I woke up feeling pretty good and I felt something, I kind of pushed on my tummy and it was hard! It's never been hard before, and there was a "bump". I kind of poked my tummy a few times and sure enough there was a little thud back. I just couldn't believe it. There is no doubt in my mind that it is Brayden for sure this time! I had John come over and put his hand on my tummy to see if he could feel it, but he couldn't which blew my mind because Brayden was pushing so hard!

As the day went on I didn't really feel it anymore, which didn't really bother me because I was up moving around so it would've been hard to feel him. But last night as I was laying in bed Brayden started kicking/punching/moving around in there! It was a lot more then the morning so once again I had John put his hand on my tummy and he kind of poked to get Brayden to kick so he could feel it, but he couldn't :( BUT! Just a little bit before John took his hand away there was a BIG push! As soon as I felt it I looked over to John and his eyes were HUGE! He had felt Brayden too!!! It was so amazing!

I woke up a few times last night to Brayden moving around, so he's definitely getting bigger because I can really feel him in there. I can't wait to get a real baby bump! The pictures that I put up have been throughout this week, and I think the shirts make be look bigger then I really am...

Well, other then that exciting news there hasn't been much else. School is, well...school, it's getting a little tougher and stressful but I'm trying my hardest not to get so overwhelmed. John got a job at a call center, which we are so happy about. It's a great blessing and stress reliever!

17 Weeks

Well John and I are back in Rexburg! We both really miss Texas (I think I do more then John) but it is nice to be home and living on our own again. School has started up for me and I'm liking it so far, I'm a little nervous about this semester though because I have to go into a school and actually teach...so I'm really nervous about that. :-/ I got assigned to my school and class today, but I won't go into the school until Monday. But I have been assigned to a 2nd grade class! So hopefully the kids will be nice to me :P Luckily I only have to teach 4 times this semester so that gives me a little bit of a comfort because it won't be an everyday deal. But as far as my other classes go...they don't seem like they'll be too hard for me. :) John hasn't been up to much other then trying to find a job here, which has been pretty hard...since all of the college students are back jobs are hard to come by. So we're really praying that he gets a job soon!

As far as the pregnancy is going, well it's going pretty good! I still have my bad mornings but they aren't as frequent as they once were. Luckily the whole "morning sickness" has been quite literal for me, I'm only sick in the mornings usually. That has been a great blessing to both John and I (especially me ;) ) John has been taking really good care of me, but he always does. :)

I had a doctors appointment on Tuesday to get the "gender ultra sound", I was pretty nervous about it. I don't know why maybe it was just anxious to find out what we are having! But as soon as we walked into the room and the tech started the ultrasound I was much calmer. It was such an amazing experience! To see the baby moving around was just so surreal! To see him kicking around and just being an active little buggar was so calming. Funny experience with it, when the tech first started the ultra sound she was telling us about how a couple had come in earlier that day to see what they were having and their baby wasn't cooperating so they didn't get to find out what it was that day (I felt bad for them, it's never fun getting your hopes up and then getting them crushed...). But, as soon as she touched my stomach it was BAM! right there in front of us! John leaned in and said "Is that...?" And the tech smiled and was like "Yes, that is a boy!" It was pretty funny :P

He is a healthy baby! We go back in 4 weeks to get another ultrasound done to get a closer look at his major organs to make sure everything is what it needs to be right now. So we'll get even more pictures! I can't wait!!! My doctor is a little concerned about me, I got in trouble with her as far as my weight goes because I haven't gained any weight...but I'm not too worried about that, I'm sure I will gain weight very soon and very fast! (John is VERY anxious for me to get my baby belly! :P)

One more little side note, I felt more flutterings today! John and I were walking on campus and I had that "funny" feeling again. It sure did put a big smile on my face as well as John's. I think seeing the ultra sound yesterday made me more aware of the fact that our baby is moving around in there!

16 Weeks

Today I am 16 weeks along in my pregnancy! Time is just flying by super fast! So, the other day my mom, Aunt, and I were shopping for maternity clothes, while we were walking around I felt a little flutter in my tummy! At first I wasn't sure if it was the baby, but everyone was telling my it was :D. So exciting! I would put pictures up of my baby belly, but I don't really have one yet haha.

Right now we're in Cameron for the weekend visiting Johns family. We've been in Texas for a month now. We're heading back up to Rexburg next weekend. Its been a great visit between my family in Spring and Johns in Cameron. Both moms have been getting us(baby and me) clothes, and it is such a huge burden lifted off our shoulders! We are very grateful! We are all looking forward to our baby's arrival! 4 months down, 5ish to go! John is hoping for a boy, because those of our friends and family that are pregnant, are having girls! He says that if its a boy, then he'll have more to choose from, out of the friends kids of course haha.

Weekend Again!

So this week has been an up and down one for me...the lovely "morning sickness" has defiantly kicked in :( However, I have found out that I have an amazing husband who can sit next to me while I'm throwing up in a bowl, then clean the bowl out for me, and then drive clear to Idaho Falls to buy some Texas Road House rolls because that's the only thing that sounded good to eat...yes John is an amazing husband! But I guess the good news is I have only thrown up once (which I'm really hoping that it doesn't become a regular event...) I just can't wait to get through this first trimester!

I'm at 8 weeks now, which is really crazy to think about! John and I go into see the doctor next Thursday and I will get my first ultra sound! That's when we'll find out as the doctor put it "how many are in there"...I'm really kind of hoping that it's just one...because I don't know if I can have two and go to school at the same time. But we'll see :)

John's classes and mine are going good, we really can't wait till the semester is over! There's only 2 more weeks! Then we are headed down south to the good ol' Texas for 6 weeks :D

Movin' Time!

John and I had some great news this week...we were finally able to move into the duplex!!! So of course we were both super excited! We started packing things up as soon as we got the okay and after many trips from the apartment to here multiple times...we are finally moved in! However, there are still things at the other apartment that still need to be moved over, but for the most part we are all here!

I just can't wait till the moving is completely done as well as the cleaning for the other apartment, that will be the day when I can officially relax and not worry about "the other place"...Other then moving and cleaning John and I haven't been up to much just schooling :)

Catching up with Time!

It has been a long time (almost a year) since I have done ANYTHING on this blog. But I'm hoping that with John's help I'll be able to keep it up with all the exciting adventures in our life!

Let's start from the beginning...

We are both in school right now and loving it! It's been really fun going to school together and we're even taking a couple of classes together (which has been nice for homework purposes...;)) I'm still majoring in Elementary Education, and will be done in about a year and a half!!! I'm soo excited to be done with school! John still has awhile...but he recently changed his major from sociology to automotive technology management. He hasn't taken any classes for that major yet, but starting next January he will start his new major!

We also found a new place to live! We are moving out of apartments on campus to a duplex! We are both really excited for this because we won't have a ton of people connected to our apartment, instead it's just one person, the realitor told us that it was a older man who is never home...so we're okay with that :P We will hopefully be moving in this weekend and start attending a family ward instead of a married student ward (which will be a big change but a great one!)

Another bit of news, John was released from his calling. He was the second counselor in a singles ward up here in Rexburg, he was a counselor for almost a year and he loved everything about it! He misses it, but is happy that he can come with me to church now. Which is what I'm most excited about, it was hard not having him at church with me so most of the time I just went to the singles ward. (Which they encourage the spouse to continue to go to the family ward).
